True crime is not normally a genre I enjoy, but Guilt is a true crime podcast like no other. There is a striking sense of place in every episode; the listener feels like they are riding along with Ryan as he seeks answers to unsolved crimes, with a degree of empathy and tenacity that is quite extraordinary. It was this feeling of 'being there,' as well as the experience of uncovering clues and the slow accumulation of information, that I wanted to render in this new watercolour series, Landscapes of Guilt.
